A Structured Programme That Builds Real Independence

Our GCSE revision skills workshops are delivered in three clear parts, allowing schools to choose the structure that works best for their timetable and students.

Each workshop fits within a 50 or 60 minute period, ensuring minimal disruption to the curriculum. Sessions can be delivered to whole year groups, half year groups or smaller targeted groups.

Part 1: Building the Foundations

In Part 1, students explore three core principles of learning, four powerful revision techniques and a clear system for success.

This session lays the groundwork. Students discover how learning actually works and why some revision methods are far more effective than others. They leave with a toolkit of strategies they can use immediately to consolidate learning throughout Year 10, Year 11 and beyond.

By the end of the session, students are not just motivated. They are equipped.

Part 2: Expanding the Toolkit

Part 2 reinforces the principles introduced in Part 1 and takes learning further. Students explore eight additional revision and learning techniques, giving them even more flexibility in how they prepare for assessments.

This session builds independence. Students gain confidence in selecting techniques that suit different subjects and different types of exams. They begin to understand that successful revision is not one size fits all.

For schools aiming to embed a strong revision culture, Part 1 and Part 2 together provide a powerful foundation.

Part 3: The Final Countdown

Part 3 is often delivered during the Spring Term of Year 11, during the critical 90 to 120 day countdown to GCSEs.

This workshop focuses on the five most important actions students need to take in the final run up to exams. We help them break the process into manageable steps. We show them how to make their goals achievable. We guide them in creating a clear action plan for the remaining weeks.

Students leave feeling focused, motivated and ready to take the right action.

For parents, this is often the turning point. Instead of uncertainty and last minute panic, students have a structured plan and a sense of control.

Designed for Schools, Supported at Home

We understand that exam success works best when school and home are aligned.

That is why Maximising Success can also be supplemented with an online briefing video for parents and or staff. This ensures that the techniques introduced in school are reinforced consistently.
